SanTranslate was born at Nottingham Trent University in 2001, when Dr Yu-San Chan and Mr Quang Luong began offering high-quality Chinese and English translations.

Within a year we'd grown to meet the increasing demand for other languages, like Japanese, Korean, Thai, Laos and Vietnamese.

Since 2003 we've been growing in the USA too. Our work here includes commercial, financial, and religious publications.

In 2005 we added European language translation to our portfolio - making us a one-stop shop for both Western and Far Eastern languages.

With backing from the UK Trade & Investment, we have opened a branch in Hong Kong, China. We're about to launch a private terminology database for our customers, and there's a copywriting service on the way too.
